Admission FAQs

We understand the importance of securing admission into a good school for your child. As a result, ‘admission time’ can be a very stressful period for everyone. We hope that the following FAQs will help you to better understand our admission process.

Admissions open in Class VII and X only.

Please refer to the Senior Section Admission Process section.

Registrations usually take place in March. Parents interested in admissions should check the school website for updates in the month of February.

As you may be aware, there are very limited seats available in Class VII and Class X. Approximately 10% to 12% of the applicants are offered admission. Therefore, if your child is not accepted at this time, please do not take it as a personal reflection of you or your child.

Admissions into Bay View Academy are based solely on merit taking into account the student’s performance in the admission test and past reports from his/her current school. We also keep in mind the need to have a balanced group of students in a classroom.

Siblings are given a degree of preference but performance in the admission test is the primary criteria. No child is guaranteed admission.

Not necessarily. However, if the management feels the need to meet the parents or students, they may be called for an interview before the final selection is made.

The admission test is based on the knowledge a student has acquired by the end of Class VI and Class IX, respectively. Students are evaluated in English, Mathematics and Urdu.

The Class VII and Class X admission registrations for all campuses take place at the Defence Campus.

The Class VII and Class X admission test for all campuses takes place at the Defence Campus.

Please be advised that the offer of admission is for the campus stated in the admission letter and no transfer requests between campuses will be entertained.

The Class VII and Class X admission results are published on the school website by the end of April.

You may designate someone (such as a friend or family member) to register the child on your behalf provided that they have all the required documents listed below:

      1. The original and a photocopy of the applicant’s birth certificate, passport or B-Form.
      2. A photocopy of the applicant’s final term report card for the last 2 years (Class level submitted depends on which grade they are applying for).
      3. One passport size photograph of the applicant labeled with his/ her name at the back.

Note: Please refer to the Senior Section Admission Process on the school website for further information with respect to the registration process (such as dates etc.)

You may either travel to Karachi to have your child sit for the admission test here or we can email the test to your child’s current school. In order for us to move forward with the second option, we will require an official email from your child’s current school stating that they are willing to conduct the admission test on our behalf and email it back to us by the specified date. We will need this email no later than 15th March at [email protected]

Students are assigned a campus at the school’s discretion. Admitted siblings will be given preference for the same campus as their enrolled sibling.
